My favorite Memories of #27

On the field he made things happen with his ability. Darrent had blazing speed, and electric moves. It was those sensational punt returns and his spectacular plays on defense that made him a great player. But Darrent was more then just a Football player. He was a guy that had a huge heart, and a great personality. He lit up the room like no other. I will always remember #27 for his on the field and off the field heroics.

Huge Broncos fan here. I think it's a wonderful idea to have a DW blog. I hope more fans post here. Great idea here! Go Broncos in 2007

As a huge fan I offer a Mile High salute.

Next year its going to be empty... I was looking forward to buying a ticket for fan day to see my Broncos. I might just do that to pay my respects to D. Williams.

Here's to You Williams. I'll be wearing my #27 jersey every Sunday to show my support.

As a lifelong fan here in Oklahoma, I got the chance to watch Darrent play since his days here at Oklahoma State University. I cannot believe that something as senseless as this occurs on a daily basis. What great talent on and off the field. I just got down reading the story about his service and tears started to flow.

RIP D WILL

RIP Darrent. I live in Georgia and my dream is to someday cheer on the broncos at Invesco field, watching all my favorite players, including darrent, what he lacked in size, he made up for in pure talent and heart, your soul and memories will live on in all of us fans here.

Darrent, you were an amazing person on this earth for the 24 years you walked it.

The killers must be caught and they must pay for their actions.

In Prayer for his Family and Friends

Just a shock! I will be forever remembered for all the great plays Darrent had over his brief career. My prayers go out to the Williams family and the entire Broncos team.

Started off yesterday spraining my ankle in soccer and finished the game with a goal and two assists. We lost 4-7.

Then Broncos lost 26-23.

None of that mattered. None of it came close to this morning.

I wake up. In my head I say “I wonder if people are still being negative on the boards.”

I don’t log on yet, instead I check ESPN. Commercials. Then I go up one channel to ESPN2…. that’s when I saw it. I look at the bottom right corner. “Breaking News: Darrent Williams Broncos CB Shot, Killed” Heart skips a beat. Try to keep my composer and not begin to tear. I hobble down stairs ignoring the pain in my ankle. Tell my brother about it. He is now in shock. He switches to ESPN2. Goes upstairs to get dressed. Shuts the door. I open it and he is laying down on the bed crying.

I take my shower and then my eyes get teary. We go out to eat for breakfast and me and my brother are very down and we speak of splitting the cost in half for a Darrent Williams jersey. We will buy it and get overnight shipping.

It is so sad. Since I am Muslim I pray 5 times a day and this morning I dedicated my prayer to Darrent Williams and his family.

This is devastating.

Then I listen to Tatum Bell’s interview and it was so sad. Now I am listening to 950 The Fan online.

Very emotional.

R.I.P. DARRENT WILLIAMS

I will miss you. You had so much future talent. I don’t know what could be more sickening. I hope the Williams family sees this message.

You ALWAYS kept your head high. The other QB’s of teams picked on you because you were opposite Champ Bailey but you never gave up. You always stayed positive and told your team to keep on going.

It was hurtful to hear about how happy of your boy you were.

R.I.P. Darrent. We will all miss you.

This was one of the worst days I can remember. D. Williams was one of my favorite players on the team. I just loved to watch this guy play. Watching both Champ and Williams dominate was a treat. RIP Darrent. You will be in my heart forever.

but most importantly darrent williams, i think it's a shame. how some people manage to take other peoples lives especially since darrent williams was a good player and well hearted. i love him and always will. he was actually my football idol.

But since he's gone all i have to say is" thank you darrent! You really did open my eyes to different things in life. So heres to you darrent, i will be wearing my jersey for you every broncos game!"
