On the field he made things happen with his ability. Darrent had blazing speed, and electric moves. It was those sensational punt returns and his spectacular plays on defense that made him a great player. But Darrent was more then just a Football player. He was a guy that had a huge heart, and a great personality. He lit up the room like no other. I will always remember #27 for his on the field and off the field heroics.

Darrent Williams was a talented young football player, playing defensive back, for the Denver Broncos was killed in an apparent murder in Denver Colorado in the early hours of January 1, 2007.

About Darrent Williams
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Darrent Williams attended O.D. Wyatt High School where he played cornerback and was also a punt returner.
Williams then went on to play football for Oklahoma State University. Williams finished his collegiate career tied for first place all-time in Division I-A College Football in career interception returns for touchdowns.
In the 2005 NFL Draft, Darrent Williams was selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round (56th overall). He recorded his first career interception on November 13, 2005.
